All words and music written, performed, recorded, and produced by Emilie Autumn in The Asylum. Mixed & mastered by Ulrich Wild in The Wilderness.
With the release of her latest album, Fight Like A Girl, Emilie Autumn pulls her listeners ever deeper into the realm of The Asylum, the fantastical alternate reality described in her magnum opus, the novel The Asylum for Wayward Victorian Girls.

The title track launches the onslaught with an anthem for the underdog, calling upon females of all ages to realize they are in fact 51% of the Earth's human population, and to take back their power at all costs, using whatever means necessary. From there, the struggle of both modern day and Victorian insane asylum inmates is enacted with Emilie taking on the voices of varying characters from her novel, ending in the ultimate fight to the death, "Time For Tea," and the universally encouraging message of what it takes to transform from victim to victorious in "One Foot In Front Of The Other."

Part musical theatre, part industrial rock, part historical horror story, on FLAG, Emilie makes her Broadway intentions unabashedly clear.

A french disturbed rat who really appreciate FLAG:TNA

I first discovered the new album in a .mp3 format and was really impressed by the quality of the mastering : Very Good job for a mp3. When I've received the physical copy, it was a great pleasure to discover the artwork, really really inspiring. Then, I made my first dreams into the Asylum, and listened to your voice carefully. It is magical and you have the exceptionnal ability to communicate in a very impressible way strong emotions, not excracted from a disturbed mind, but from a GENIUS mind. Thx a lot for the trip

Fight Like A Girl: The New Album

Loving It !! Wish I could have seen this performance Live. Would like Emilie to go back on tour, if so please visit Detroit. In the meantime, is there a recording of the performance I may purchase? Regards, Chris

A musical treasure!

This album was my introduction to the Asylum, and to Emilie Autumn. I still remember laying in bed with the lights off, letting the album play. The title track is the anthem, the single, the end credits song, if you will. The rest of the album, however, functions as a concept album of musical theatre. Emilie’s storytelling abilities mesh quite well with her musical talent. You will not be disappointed. While the album follows the story of The Asylum For Wayward Victorian Girls book, the book is not a prerequisite for enjoying the album. Take The Pill is my favorite. That one hit me the hardest in early listens.
