EA's original Plague Rat painting first appeared in the illustrated version of her novel, The Asylum for Wayward Victorian Girls. In this hybrid painting, she has reproduced the original artwork in the highest quality giclee on cotton canvas, then re-painted the entire painting on top of this, emphasizing details and adding new ones, before adding layers of impasto and varnish to create a new, highly textured work virtually indistinguishable from an original painting.
While multiple of these hybrid canvases will be created using the same Plague Rat design as a starting point, each will be 100% hand-detailed and contain elements unique to itself that cover the entire canvas. In short, each canvas will be its own original work of art.
